We have received notice today that Roderick is leaving his role as Manager of Arts Across Victoria. On behalf of the VAPAC Executive, its members and its delegates in all our networks, I would like to take this opportunity to acknowledge and thank Roderick for his efforts over the last four years or so on behalf of our members. Getting good touring productions into our venues is core business for us and we have found a capable, creative and hard working ally in Roderick to achieve this. His leadership and development of the AAV unit, his courageous work revamping Cyberpaddock and Long Paddock, and his steady hand through a relatively tumultuous time in national-touring-land have been greatly appreciated.
Our partnership with Roderick and his team on the innovative TCC and Showcase projects has seen both grow to be examples that other states are now admiring and imitating. In particular, Roderick has ably complemented and helped reinforce our determination to work more closely and more collaboratively with producers and to improve our capacity to not only receive work, but to inspire and together create work, all to the benefit of our most important clients: our audiences.
We will certainly miss Roderick and we wish him well in whatever endeavour he moves on to.
