Queensland Bound

After 12 years in Victoria, Gregory McGrath, manager of the Arts Centre Warragul, is heading home to Queensland. Greg has just been appointed General Manager of the Events Centre in Caloundra on Queensland's beautiful Sunshine Coast.

Greg finishes up in Warragul on 24th November this year. He is very excited about his hew role and though we will miss his humour, support and enormous knowledge we know that he will still be about by phone should we need his input in desperate situations- such as the new website he has created.

We wish him and his family luck in their exciting new venture, and look forward to farewelling him formally at the GPAC meeting...which will be his last as a VAPACian!

Jenny & the executive team

This is a very timely and welcome appointment for me. All of my family and my wife's family and many of our personal friends are now living in the south east of Qld. I leave behind some great and capable staff along with a fabulous Arts Centre still with loads of potential. The Baw Baw Shire Council is the most supportive local government I have ever encountered, and Council's senior executive are equally supportive and hold the venue and its operation in very high regard. The job is a wonderful management opportunity waiting for the right person. This is a hard venue to leave behind - Greg - the ol' banjer picker
