Assistant Cultural Services Officer (Part-time)
Glenelg Shire Council has a vacancy for an enthusiastic, committed and reliable person, who is interested in employment as an Assistant Cultural Services Officer, to provide support in the delivery of Council’s Arts Program across the Shire.
The part-time (0.8) position, which is based at the Portland Arts Centre, involves occasional travel within the Shire to facilitate delivery of performance events and/or community arts projects.
This position requires a person who is flexible, as some activities are managed outside core hours.
The applicant should also have strong interpersonal and communication skills, and a passion for art and creativity, balanced with an understanding of ProVenue Max or an equivalent ticketing system, familiarity with website management systems, and experience with a variety of marketing strategies relevant to the promotion of arts and culture.
Where some of the required knowledge or skills are limited, relevant training may be provided.
Salary and conditions will be in accordance with Band 5.
