Shows for Schools

This is an exciting initiative to connect presenters and producers with schools.Widely praised by the education sector, it’s just been launched.

What it is:

  • It’s a national database of events for schools, updated daily.
  • It has innovative searches and excellent display of events.
  • What it does for presenters
  • Through sfs find a new audience. Your events will be accessible to all teachers!
  • It’s aim is to get more teachers booking more shows
  • Listing is free, so SFS strongly markets your shows to schools.
  • Our success is your success

What it encourages

SFS hopes to foster links between the arts and education sectors. It lists Professional Development for teachers in the Arts. It links to many research papers in the arts promoting the benefits of the arts. There will also shortly be a blog encouraging interaction with the site. It already has many teacher subscribers nationally. It’s membership of producers and venues is growing daily. Why it was developed?

Created out of the experience of Karen Keegan as a producer of national venue tours, programmer/marketer of events in venues, programmer of in-school events and school teacher.

In summary, she saw the need for one national site to show the breadth of what is offered for schools and to make it easier for schools to find out what is available. Karen Keegan | 1300 737 280.
