We are undertaking our next Youth Arts Market in Victoria in November this year and therefore require a local producer to coordinate the event.Please find attached the position description and details about the role, the event and other requirements. Feel free to pass this on            a)       freelancer producers or event managers            b)       anyone working in organisations who might like to partner with us, in terms of part time staff members interested in this type of work
We welcome emerging and established practitioners to apply, there are however a few requirements in the document, including needing      computer and phone access, as well as a current working with children check.

We are really excited about this next project and look forward to finding the right person or team of people (job share is also welcomed) to work with us.

Assistant Cultural Services Officer (Part-time) 

Glenelg Shire Council has a vacancy for an enthusiastic, committed and reliable person, who is interested in employment as an Assistant Cultural Services Officer, to provide support in the delivery of Council’s Arts Program across the Shire.

The part-time (0.8) position, which is based at the Portland Arts Centre, involves occasional travel within the Shire to facilitate delivery of performance events and/or community arts projects.

This position requires a person who is flexible, as some activities are managed outside core hours. 

The applicant should also have strong interpersonal and communication skills, and a passion for art and creativity, balanced with an understanding of ProVenue Max or an equivalent ticketing system, familiarity with website management systems, and experience with a variety of marketing strategies relevant to the promotion of arts and culture.

Where some of the required knowledge or skills are limited, relevant training may be provided.

Salary and conditions will be in accordance with Band 5.

As the newly formed peak body for the Victorian contemporary music industry, Music Victoria supports the growth and development of the contemporary music industry.

A position of Chief Executive has now been created to shape the agenda and direction of this non-profit body from the ground up.

Reporting to the Board, the CEO will lead the development and implementation of Music Victoria's five year strategic plan. With the organisation in its infancy, the CEO's advocacy is vital to its emerging reputation with stakeholders in government, business and the creative community.

The role provides strategic counsel to the Board, has accountability for finance and governance, and is expected to creatively develop a sustainable business model with revenue streams that ensure the organisation's ongoing success.

The CEO will implement strategies, programs, systems and processes that enable Music Victoria to develop and promote the state's contemporary music industry.
